Excellent Biodiesel Quality 2015
Again this year, Association Quality Management Biodiesel e. V. (AGQM) releases a report about their members’ Biodiesel quality. In 2015 for the first time all analyzed Biodiesel samples fulfill the requirements of DIN EN 14214 and prove an excellent quality.
In four unannounced sampling campaigns (summer, winter and respective intermediate periods), 65 samples were taken at production plants and fuel depots of AGQM’s members which are both, Biodiesel producers and traders.
In 2015, the excellent quality of the products of their members and its continuing improvement could be verified. All analyzed samples fulfill the requirements of the current Biodiesel standard DIN EN 14214 which was released in June 2014. AGQM’s more stringent limits for parameters ‘water content’, ‘total contamination’ and ‘Cold Filter Plugging Point’ could easily be reached. In many cases, the quality was even significantly better than demanded; this applies particularly to parameters considered as ‘critical ones’ by the automotive industry e.g. alkali and earth alkali metals and phosphorus content.
The detailed Quality Report 2015 as well as additional information on the parameters tested is now available on AGQM’s homepage.
