AGQM/FAM Workshop Finalizes Round Robin Test for Biodiesel and Rapeseed Oil Fuels Increasing international significance noted
During their joint workshop AGQM and FAM presented the results of the 2011 RR test for Biodiesel and rapeseed oil fuel to an expert audience. All in all 70 laboratories – of which 55 were German, 9 European and 6 from outside Europe – participated in this year’s international RR test. This development as well as the constantly increasing number of participants clearly shows that the RR test is gaining more and more in importance and international significance. more…

Election of AGQM Board
During their annual General Meeting the members of Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e.V. (AGQM) confirmed in office as Members of the Board Dr Juergen Fischer (chairman)/ADM Research GmbH, Dr Georg Pollert (vice chairman)/Verbio AG and Rolf Sieber (vice chairman)/SBE BioEnergie Handelsgesellschaft mbH. Dr Ruediger Brautzsch/Bio-Diesel Wittenberge GmbH was also re-elected. Henning Bohne/Louis Dreyfus Commodities Wittenberg GmbH, Dr Frank Kohl/NEW Natural Energy West as well as Elmar Baumann/Verband der Deutschen Biokraftstoffindustrie e.V. were elected new Members of the AGQM Board. more…

Biodiesel - a quality fuel with a future
The Association Quality management Biodiesel (AGQM) held its 5th "Biodiesel" International Conference on 6th and 7th October 2011 with lectures on the political framework, the conditions for marketing Biodiesel, quality aspects and the motor vehicle engineering requirements for meeting exhaust standards. The organiser´s expectations were met with more than 80, above all foreign, attendees.

AGQM completes 5th test round for oxidation stabilisers
The working group Quality Management Biodiesel e.V. (AGQM) has completed the fifth test period of the no-harm test for oxidation stabilisers and added additional products to its no-harm list. These demanding tests ensure that chemical and physical properties are not affected by the use of oxidation stabilisers in Biodiesl, that no inadmissible reciprocal effects occurs with other oxidation stabilisers and that security datasheets are available for the additive. more…

5th International ‘Biodiesel’ Conference in Berlin
The Association Quality Management Biodiesel (AGQM) will hold its fifth international expert conference "Biodiesel" from 6 to 7 October. The conference aims at sharing the current and future developments on the international sales markets for Biodiesel and at presenting the research result and standardisation activities for Biodiesel. As a result, the conference focus is on the framework conditions which will be material for the sales perspectives of Biodiesel not just within but also outside Eruope. Furthermore, AGQM will also tackle topics, which will be decisive for the future, such as filterability, microbial contamination and increasing engine requirements due to the introduction of systems for the aftertreatment of exhaust gases. more…

Expert discussion on mineral oil and biodiesel management
AGQM is presenting the results of its study.
On the occasion of the 5th expert discussion, experts from the mineral oil industry and the Association Quality management Biodiesel (AGQM) discussed current issues on the quality development and assessment of biodiesel as well as on the level of pan-European norms with the aim of creating a norm for B10 and B30.
