AGQM to start second Glycerol Round Robin Test

AGQM (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e. V.) will carry out a round robin test for pharmaceutical glycerol again. Registrations will be accepted until 23 December 2016. 

As association of all leading companies of the German Biodiesel industry, AGQM (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e. V.) predominantly deals with all issues concerning the quality management of Biodiesel and its by-products.

The participation in Round Robin Tests is an important instrument to check test methods and the proper handling of professional laboratories. That is why AGQM has carried out round robin tests for Biodiesel analytics as part of its quality management system since 1999.

The importance of glycerol – a by-product of the Biodiesel production – is growing continuously. In the past, it was primarily used in the fields of cosmetics and technology. Nowadays it is used more and more as high-quality pharmaceutical glycerol which is gained by refining raw glycerol.

With this Round Robin Test both company laboratories as well as commercial service laboratories can carry out external quality assurance for selected parameters of the analytics of pharmaceutical glycerol.
