Reelection of AGQM's Board of Directors
AGQM’s members elected their Board of Directors during the General Assembly held in Berlin on 8 November 2013.
Beside the previous Chairman Dr Juergen Fischer (ADM Research GmbH, Hamburg), both vice Chairmen Dr Georg Pollert (Verbio AG) and Rolf Sieber (SBE BioEnergie Handelsgesellschaft mbH) were confirmed in office. Also, Dr Ruediger Brautzsch (Cargill GmbH), Dr Frank Kohl (NEW Natural Energy West), Elmar Baumann (VDB/Association of German Biofuel producers) and Henning Bohne (Louis Dreyfus Commodities Wittenberg GmbH) were reelected as Board Members.
In 1999 AGQM was founded by leading Biodiesel producers and traders as an initiative for quality assurance. Among its members are 20 Biodiesel producers with a total production capacity of 3.5 million tons per annum. AGQM’s key task is the quality assurance of Biodiesel in Germany. For that purpose AGQM initiates annual unannounced member samplings and audits and organizes a Round Robin test for Biodiesel and vegetable oil in cooperation with FAM Fachausschuss fuer Mineraloel- und Brennstoff-Normung (Committee for the Standardisation of Mineral Oil and Fuels). Moreover, AGQM is committedly involved in the national and international standardization of fuel. Furthermore, jointly with the mineral oil and automotive industries as well as research institutes, AGQM carries out numerous projects on issues of Biodiesel, and over the years wide-range expertise concerning the properties and implementation of Biodiesel could thus be gained.
